How to write SEO Optimized Content? Learn here with 14 easy steps

After all, whole SEO exists due to content and content without SEO will be seen dumped on somewhere around page 60 or further.

That’s why they need to align with each other and work together to rank and drive some heavy traffic.

Here enters the “SEO Optimized Content”.

Here, we will learn how to write SEO optimized content by discussing 15 easy and crucial elements.

But first, let’s see What is SEO Optimized Content (or Content Optimization)?

What is Content Optimization?

The intended goal of the content can be to rank higher or convert current leads.

SEO optimized content is generally the term used for the content that has all the optimizations right to rank higher in rankings.

How To Write SEO Optimized Content?

As I said, the general objective of SEO content optimization is to be more visible in SERPs. And to assure that there is a long list of ranking factors that Google uses while evaluating whether to rank a page or not.

But for now, I’ve listed down the major 14 optimizations that you can do in your content to thrive in the search results.

I’ve divided the optimizations into 5 categories:

Content

1. Write First For Humans

This is the very first thing that you need to write SEO optimized content. It might seem too simple. But many companies still miss the point and throw all the darts out of the board.

Content is supposed to be written for real humans. Do not go too technical and write interesting and informative articles.

Do not promote your product or service every time, sometimes just answer the queries of the audience or share some valuable insights.

2. Write Amazing and Fresh Content

There are thousands of people writing and searching for your product, but how would they find you in this heavy crowd? Through fresh and amazing content.

Fresh content is loved by search engines and users too. Keeping writing and publishing new content is the first step of getting ranked and recognized by your audience.

Now what sets you apart from the mass is the great content that you write. You know your product, service or topic more than most people. Write it out beautifully and give the user ultimate value.

3. Concise and Comprehensive

These are the two words that Google stuck with for a long time while measuring the best content to rank for.

Concise content aims to cover the whole topic in the shortest way possible. Whereas comprehensive content aims to cover the entire topic from head to toe.

So the collective aim is to provide complete knowledge about the topic to the user while not stretching the content too long.

Now one thing to remember is to look up to the content of competitors and see what they’re offering in their content and learn from them. You have to add some more to your content to stand out. You can add more value, make it more visually appealing, or add first-party statistics.

4. Keep Updating The Content

Now, is the job finished once you’ve published your content? NO!

Remember, as I said in the last points, competitors will look up to your content and would try to offer more than you do in their content. So, you have to keep reviewing and updating your content in order to rule the search results.

Keywords

5. Find the right Keyword

Keywords are the fundamental building blocks of SEO optimized content.

And finding the right keyword is equally important as writing the content is. How can you do that? Learn here: Keyword Research: Zero to Hero Guide

6. Find Semantically Related Keywords

To get the probability of rankings on your side, you should try to add keywords that are related to your keywords and that makes search engines better understand what your content is about.

As it can be hard for search engines to differentiate between a page selling Apple’s digital products and another page selling apples from a local farm.

Adding related keywords make Google better understand the content of the page and rank it on more relevant searches.

7. Keyword Density

I know keyword density has been removed from the list of official ranking factors of Google but still adding keywords multiple times on the same page increases the chances of your rankings.

The only thing to make sure of is to not push keywords in the content forcefully. As long as they are coming naturally, they are good. If not, then that leads to keyword stuffing, which will do more harm than good.

Headings and Metadata

8. Headlines Matter A Lot

Headlines have a great impact on your SEO. They make a user click on your content and stick to it. All you have to do is use fewer words and make a great impression.

How can you do that? In three ways, write headlines that are

  • Neat
  • Appealing
  • And contain rich keywords

9. Get Creative

An SEO Optimized content includes a great headline, meta description, meta keywords, and URL. So, get creative to write neat, appealing, and keywords containing meta descriptions, headings and URLs. And see an off-the-charts increase in your CTR.

Visuals

10. Structure The Blog

You can write a great blog with incredible value and insights but it will be entirely ignored and lost if ain’t structured properly. The truth is straight, no one wants to read a long wall of text, it looks boring.

You can structure the content to make it more visually appealing by

  • Breaking your content into smaller paragraphs
  • Using Headlines (H1, H2 etc.)
  • Adding a table of contents

11. Use Images

Users love images probably more than the text on your site. And as a fact they spend time searching for images as much as they do for text.

But simply throwing images won’t do the thing. You need to optimize the image before adding in the content. The optimizations include

  • Add alt text
  • Add image tags
  • Reduce the file of the size

Suggested: To use the file in the .webp format to reduce its loading time

12. Add Videos

Just as images, people like this form of graphic content too. But if you don’t have your own videos to put up on your site, you can embed videos from YouTube on the page. Just make sure you use good keywords, headings, and tags.

Links and Sharing

13. Interlinking

Internal linking is among the best On-page SEO practices. And it is a crucial element that is not to be missed while creating SEO optimized content.

Internal linking has many benefits including

  • Helping bots find your pages
  • Making users stay on your site longer
  • It increases engagement rate and creates better UX

14. Social Media Sharing

Social media’s power can not be underestimated. And as its power lies in sharing useful content.

You can take that to your advantage by adding social media sharing buttons to your content. It helps readers easily share your content on different social media platforms.

Conclusion

The crowd on the internet is increasing every day. Both writers and search engines are trying their best to offer readers precisely what they want.

In this scenario, you can’t throw the content randomly and expect it to bring you heavy traffic and conversions. Here lies the idea of SEO optimized content.

You have to optimize your content for both users and search engines to stand out and lead the industry.

But one thing that you shouldn’t forget is that You write for humans and not for search engines. Readers must be the first priority while writing the content and then search engines.
